Gate Access Panel

Gate access numbers are used to control the vehicle access into your campground.

Paired with the PitchCamp Gate Access Module you can control your front gate access with the assigned gate access numbers given to your clients.

Gate access numbers will only open the gates when under the following conditions.

  • the gate access numbers are added to the Gate Access Panel.
  • the gate access numbers are active.
  • assigned to a client with a valid reservations.
  • access is attempted within the arrival and departure dates of the reservations.

Gate access can be used in two ways.

  1. to control your campgrounds gate access and also track which gate access numbers are assigned to your clients.
  2. or to only track which gate access numbers are assigned to your clients. This is useful when you already have a gate access system but you need to track which client the gate access numbers were given out to.

Searching and Filtering Gate Access Numbers

The search boxes located above each columns are used to filter and search which gate access numbers are displayed on the grid. Multiple search fields can be used to narrow down your results.

Clearing Filters

The filters can be quickly removed by clicking the Clear Filter option form the menu. This will eliminate all filters applied and display all your gate access numbers.

Viewing a Gate Access Number

Double-clicking on a row from the grid opens up a dialog box where all the information pertaining to the gate access number can be viewed.

Editing a Gate Access Number

To edit a gate access number double click on the row from the grid. Once all your changes have been made save it by clicking the save button located at the bottom left corner of the window.

Adding a Gate Access Number

From the gate access panel select the New Gate Access Number button from the menu. This will open up a dialog box where you will be able to enter your new gate access number.

Gate Access Number Validation

Gate access numbers can contain letters or numbers.

Characters not permitted:

  • Spaces
  • Commas
  • Any special characters or exclamations.

Characters permitted:

  • Everything from letter: A to Z
  • Any numerical numbers: 0 to 9
  • Underscores: _
  • Dashes: -

You will not be able to enter a gate access number that already exist.

Assigning a Gate Access Number to a Client

To assign a gate access number to a client go to the Client Panel double click on the desired client and enter the gate access numbers and save.

Gate Access Number Bulk Updates

Bulk updates are used to speed up the process of updating multiple rows with the same information.

The following fields are available for bulk updates.

  • Color
  • State
  • Remove gate access

Gate Access Color

Gate access colors are useful when you need to identify the types of gate access given out to your clients.

Example: when using FOB keys they can be purchased in different colors. You can categories them based on your preferences.

Gate Access States

Gate access state controls whether or not the gate access numbers will open the front gate when paired with the PitchCamp Gate Access Module and also if it can be assigned to a client.

Two kind of gate access state exist:

  • Active
  • Not active

Active

When a gate access number is active you will be able to assign the number to your client. And the PitchCamp Gate Access Module will ALLOW access to your campground if the client has a valid active reservation.


Not active

When a gate access number is not active you won't be able to assign the number to your client. And the PitchCamp Gate Access Module will NOT allow access to your campground even if the client has a valid active reservation.

Assign to Client (Column)

The assign to client column is simply a reference to know which client is the gate access assigned to. From the Gate Access Panel you can't assign a number to a client.

Gate assignments can only be done from the Client Panel.

The Assign to Client column is broken down into two parts:

  • The client ID: (##)
  • And the client name: [First Name] [Last Name]
  • (##) [First Name] [Last Name]

Example: let's assume the following value would exist in the column Assign to Client for gate access number 111 : (5) Luc Legault

  • This would indicate that client ID: 5
  • Having a first and last name of: Luc Legault
  • Is using the gate access number: 111.

Removing Gate Access Assignment

Removing gate access numbers assigned to clients can be done at the Gate Access Panel by selecting the rows from the grid and then going to the the Bulk Update menu and selecting Remove Gate Access.

Deleting a Gate Access Number

To delete a gate access number simply double click on the row from the grid and select the delete icon located in the bottom right.

Note

If the gate access number is assigned to a client then you won't be able to delete it. You will need to un-assign the gate access number before deleting it.
