Pay Now Invoice Email Payment¶
The Pay Now feature allows guests to pay their outstanding balance directly from the invoice email they receive. When enabled, a Pay Now button is added to the invoice email whenever a reservation has an unpaid balance, giving guests a convenient way to complete their payment online without contacting the campground OR having to log into their account.
Enabling the Pay Now Button¶
To enable the Pay Now button on invoice emails:
- Expand the Admin menu in the left-hand navigation and select Campground Settings.
- Click on the Online Campground Settings tab.
- Locate the Activate the Pay Now button in the invoice email toggle and switch it to On.
Note
This toggle only activates the button on emails. The Pay Now button will appear automatically on any invoice email where the reservation has an outstanding unpaid balance. Please note any previously sent invoice emails will not be updated with the Pay Now button, but any new invoice emails sent after enabling the toggle will include it if applicable.
Guest Experience¶
Invoice Email¶
Once enabled, guests who receive an invoice email for a reservation with an unpaid balance will see a Pay Now button at the bottom of the invoice located just below the Unpaid Balance amount.
Online Invoice Page¶
Clicking the Pay Now button opens the guest-facing invoice page in their browser. The page displays a full breakdown of charges, taxes, previous payments, and the remaining unpaid balance.
Payment Form¶
Clicking Pay Now on the invoice page opens the payment form. The outstanding balance can be pre-filled by clicking the yellow orange button located on the right of the amount field. The guest enters their card details and clicks Pay to complete the transaction.
Payment Confirmation¶
Once the payment is processed successfully, a confirmation message is shown to the guest.
Staff Notification¶
When a guest completes a payment through the Pay Now button, the campground receives an Online Reservation Payment notification. The notification displays the reservation number and the amount paid.
Also the notification now can be clicked on to open the reservation directly, allowing staff to quickly review the payment details and update the reservation as needed. This provides a seamless experience for both guests and staff when managing online payments.
