Reservation Payment Allocation¶
The Reservation Payment Allocation report is used to show payments by payment date, grouped by lot type, for all reservation statuses (Incomplete, Completed, and Canceled).
This report uses the Payment Date as the baseline when searching. Taxes are displayed and summed per transaction while allocating tax amounts proportionally across payments. In other words, each payment carries its share of the total reservation tax based on the percentage at the time the payment was made.
Note
Because of this, if the reporting range does not include all payments tied to a reservation, the allocated tax amounts may appear lower, since part of the tax is distributed to payments outside the selected range.
Accessing the Reservation Payment Allocation Report¶
To access the Reservation Payment Allocation report expand the Report menu and then select the Reservation Payment Allocation report from the menu.
Report Grouping¶
Report grouping controls how the report is grouped by.
Example:
- Daily: will group up the report on YYYY-MM-DD
- Weekly: will group up the report on YYYY-MM
- Yearly: will group up the report on YYYY
Report Filters¶
The report filters allows you to quickly pick the Lot Type(s) you need.
This is useful if you want to see only the RV or Tent lots in the report.
Date Selection¶
The date selection will get the report based on the Payment Date.
You can click on the Today’s Date to select the current day or the Seasonal Dates from the drop down icon.
Additionally you can manually select your dates by clicking in the from and to date picker fields.
Column Selection¶
The column selection allows you to either display the Payment Type column or not.
If the payment type column is selected then you will have the details of the payments broken down by the payment type.
The Report¶
The report by default will show all columns.
- The tax section displays the summed individual tax amounts for the transactions.
- The Total Payment column will show the total payment received for the report based on the grouping selected. Example: if the report is grouped daily then the total payment will be the total payment received for that day.
- All other fields ending with Allocated are the amounts distributed proportionally across payments.
Example:
* HST is the full tax amount for the transaction.
* HST Allocated is the tax amount allocated proportionally across the payments received for that reservation.
